Stefano Ciamei started his career in historical fencing in 2002. He is currently Vice-president of the Accademia Romana d’Armi, the historical fencing school of Rome, and one of the largest in Italy; he also works as Vice-technical Director, coordinating the other teachers and helping their academic path. Stefano currently teaches in one of the largest Accademia’s salle, and taught classes at the GISS 2013 and GISS 2014 the historical fencing international events that took place in Rome, as well as the 2nd edition of Barcelona Historical Fencing Meeting that took place July 2015 in Spain.
He was also selected by the FIS -Italian Fencing Federation, as a representative for historical fencing to the thirteenth edition of the FIE Mediterranean Championships that was held in Oran, Algeria, in January 2016.
As a teacher, Stefano obtained so far the following titles:

AIMA Instructor 1 st level - Rapier - HEMA Second Level Instructor (CSEN )
- HEMA Second Level Instructor (UISP – Italian National Sport Union)
- Fencing Instructor 1st lv. (FIS – Italian Fencing Federation)
